Typically, sessions run for two hours 10 am to 12 noon (Timings are approximate) and comprise :

• 10 mins   - Subs & registration
• 15 mins   - Warm up
• 5 mins     - Comfort break
• 30 mins   - Skills and drills practice
• 5 mins     - Comfort break
• 30 mins    - Playing matches
• 15 mins    - Cool down exercises
• 10 mins    - Feedback and open discussion

• Shorts & T-shirt (Jumper, track suit, etc dependant on the weather)
• Trainers/Boots (Studs dependant on the weather)
• Shin Pads (Your child will not be allowed to train without shin pads for safety reasons)
• A drink (Water or squash – no fizzy pop)
• Money - Subs of £2.50 will be collected at the beginning of each session. The membership annual fee cost £5.00, which your child will need to bring to the first session, if they wish to confirm their membership.

No, but you must ‘hand’ your child over and ensure they are signed in and that their coach is aware that you are leaving. Collection details (time and who is collecting your child) must be given to the coach and your child will have to sign out before they can leave.

The coach will only ‘hand’ your child back to the adult you have named.

Please arrive promptly to collect your child. Although it may not be possible for you to stay every session, we would encourage that you try to attend some sessions (or part of a session) so you can see your child in action!

Hoby Road Sports Ground has ample pitches (all training sessions will be outdoors) and 2 car parks.

There is a club house, which has male and female toilets and refreshments.

The club is fully insured and if you wish to see the insurance certificate, please speak to one of the coaching staff.

The Coaching staff are all qualified (although they maybe assisted by coaches working towards qualifications) in football, first aid and child protection (a list of the coaching staff and their qualifications can be found in the membership pack).

The idea behind the membership is that we want your child to feel they belong, feel they are part of the academy and the club.

To train at the academy you must be a member.

Membership must be paid for within 4wks of your child’s first training session. This 4wk window is a trial period for your child to decide whether they want to continue – membership fees will not be refunded if your child leaves after this 4wk period.

The membership pack is designed to be a mixture of fun gifts and practical information. It will include a drawstring bag, a sports drinks bottle and a ‘glow in the dark’ wrist band (the fun part!). It will also include a membership card for your child (valid for 1 year), Rules & Constitution and Charter Booklet and Coaching Staff identification sheet.
